Die-casting Process Design and Numerical Simulation Optimization of Aluminum Alloy Gearbox Rear Shell
Taking the rear case of a certain automobile gearbox as the research object,the appropriate die-casting process parameters were selected and the gating system was designed.The filling process and solidification process were numerically simulated by MAGMAsoft software.The results show that the molten metal filling process is stable,but the solidification time sequence is unreasonable,resulting in shrinkage porosity defects.The cooling system was added according to the order of casting solidification time.Through numerical simulation analysis and product trial production of the optimized process plan,a reasonable and feasible die-casting process plan was finally obtained,which improves the product quality of die-casting parts.
