Study on Microstructure and Properties of Ultra-high Strong Aluminum-based Composites by Spray Forming
The aluminium base SiC composite was researched by spray forming, and the aluminum-based composite ingot with a uniform diameter of φ255 mm and a height of 500 mm was developed by adjusting the injection deposition parameters(atomization pressure, scanning frequency)and coaxial powder delivery equipment parameters. The microscopic microstructure results show that the grains of the deposited ingots are uniform and fine, and there is no macrosegregation phenomenon. The average grain size is(17.3±4.7)μm,but there are microporous defects between some grains. There is no obvious enrichment of SiC particles in the matrix, and they are distributed in a dispersed distribution with a size of about 5-20 μm,and there are microporous defects near the SiC particles. After extrusion treatment, bipolar solution treatment, and peak aging treatment. The tensile strength, yield strength, elongation after fracture and elastic modulus of the alloy are 650 MPa,600 MPa,6%and 85GPa,respectively,and the structure is dense without micropores.
