Influence of SiCp Content on Microstructure and Properties of SiCp/Al-1.2Mg-0.6Si Aluminum Matrix Composites
The powder metallurgy method was used to prepare SiCp/Al-1.2Mg-0.6Si aluminum matrix composites, the uniformity and interfacial bonding of the composites was analyzed, and the changes of the microstructure and properties of the composites with several volume fraction were discussed. The results show that the interface between SiC particles and the matrix is clear and smooth with good interfacial bonding, but as the hot pressing temperature increases, the micro-pores and precipitates between SiC and the matrix gradually increase;as the content of SiC particles increases, the elastic modulus and thermal conductivity of the material significantly increase, the bonding strength first increases and then decreases, and the coefficient of thermal expansion gradually decreases.
