Study on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ti55 Titanium Alloy Double Laser Welding T-joint
The double laser welding test was carried out for the 1.5⊥1.5 mm T-joint of Ti55 titanium alloy. The macroscopic morphology of the joint was observed, the microstructure of different regions of the joint and the high-temperature tensile properties and room-temperature shear properties of the joint were analyzed. The results show that the weld surface forming of the Ti55 titanium alloy T-joint is good and there is no welding defect in the cross section. From the base metal region of the joint to the fusion zone, the grain size of the joint gradually increases, the content of β phase gradually decreases, and the content of α and α'phases gradually increases. With the increase of the tensile temperature, the tensile strength of the T-joint gradually decreases, while the elongation increases gradually. The shear performance of the joint after removing the rib is 3.3%higher than that of the base metal.
