Effect of Radial Forging Processing Rate on Microstructure and Properties of TC4 Titanium Alloy Tube
TC4 titanium alloy skew-rolled tube blanks were forged with radial forging without mandrel under three processing rates of 23.4%,43.8%and 52.8%,and the effects of different processing rates on the inner wall quality, size, microstructure and mechanical properties of the tube were studied. The results show that with the increase of the radial forging rate, the wrinkling amount of the inner wall and the increase of the wall thickness increase, and the uniformity of the wall thickness becomes worse;some flaky α is spheroidized, and the flaky α and a small amount of equiaxed α coexist;the tensile strength and yield strength increase with the increase of the processing rate, and the plasticity has no obvious change.
