Study on Hot Stamping of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Sheet
In order to improve the formability of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet, the 2 mm thick extruded sheet was hot stamped at five temperatures of 25(room temperature),250,300,350,and 400℃,respectively.Through springback angle measurement, microstructure observation and mechanical property test, the effects of stamping temperature on its springback, microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. The results show that there are fine cracks at the corners of the bottom of the stamping parts during room temperature stamping, and the springback phenomenon is obvious;with the increase of the stamping temperature, the formability of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet is significantly improved, and the springback phenomenon is weakened. The microstructure of the magnesium alloy stamping sheet has no twins at room temperature.Twins begin to form as the temperature increases.A large number of twins are formed at 250℃,300℃and 350℃.After reaching 400℃,the twins begin to decrease even disappear, the material undergoes recrystallization, and the grains are refined.
