变质剂Nd对Mg-3Si-4Zn-xNd合金组织及硬度的影响

通过向Mg-3Si-4Zn镁合金中添加变质剂Nd,制备了不同Nb含量的Mg-3Si-4Zn-xNd镁合金.通过观察初生及共晶Mg2Si的组织变化,探究变质剂Nd对Mg2Si组织的影响.通过试验探究Mg2Si相的变化对合金力学性能的影响.结果表明,变质剂Nd对初生及共晶Mg2Si相皆有良好的变质作用.当Nd含量为 2.5%时,获得最佳的变质效果,初生Mg2Si由平均面积约 600 μm2(40 μm×15 μm)的粗大的树枝状组织变为平均面积约 139 μm2 的细小且不规则的多边形块状组织,共晶Mg2Si由平均面积约 444 μm2 的复杂汉字状变为平均面积约 145 μm2 的简单汉字状组织,合金硬度由 58.75 HV0.1 提高到 73.27 HV0.1(最大值),提高 24.7%.
Effects of Modifier Nd on Microstructure and Hardness of Mg-3Si-4Zn-xNd Alloy
Mg-3Si-4Zn-xNd magnesium alloys with different Nb contents were prepared by adding modifier Nd to Mg-3Si-4Zn magnesium alloy.By observing the microstructure changes of primary and eutectic Mg2Si,the influence of modifier Nd on the microstructure of Mg2Si was explored.Through the test,the effect of the change of Mg2Si phase on the hardness of the alloy was explored.The results show that the modifier Nd has a good effect on both the primary and eutectic Mg2Si.When the Nd content is 2.5%,the best metamorphic effect is obtained.The primary Mg2Si changes from a coarse dendritic structure with an average area of about 600 μm2(40 μm×15 μm)to a fine and irregular structure with an average area of about 139 μm2 polygonal bulk structure,eutectic Mg2Si changes from a complex Chinese character shape with an average area of about 444 μm2 to a simple Chinese character structure with an average area of about 145 μm2.The hardness of the alloy reaches the maximum value,increasing from 58.75 HV0.1 to 73.27 HV0.1,increasing by 24.7%.
