Effect of Tensile Twinning on Rollability and Microstructure and Properties of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Sheet
Tensile twins were pre-set in the AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet by bending limited width straightening process, and then the original and pre-twinned sheets were subjected to rolling to compare and analyze the effect of the initial microstructure on the plasticity of the sheet during rolling. The effect of different rolling reductions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the two sheets was explored. The results show that the strength and plasticity of the sheet after bending and straightening have been improved, the original sheet after rolling has less shear deformation bands, and the plastic deformation capacity is also significantly improved under the same reduction in the subsequent tensile test.
