Effect of Hot Rolling Deformation on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of 2101 Duplex Stainless Steel
The as-cast 2101 duplex stainless steel was subjected to hot rolling deformation with different deformation amounts. The effect of hot rolling deformation on the microstructure and tensile properties of 2101 steel was studied by SEM and room temperature tensile test. The results show that the microstructure of 2101 steel with different deformation amounts is ferrite+austenite. When the deformation amount is less than or equal to 50%,the volume fraction ratio of the two phases in the 2101 steel is close to 1:1.When the deformation amount increases to 70%,the volume fraction of austenite in 2101 steel decreases to 29.5%.With the increase of hot rolling deformation amount, the tensile strength of the steel increases and the elongation decreases gradually. The tensile strength of the 70% hot-rolled steel reaches a maximum value of 581.5 MPa,and its elongation is 11.2%.
