Effect of Hot Rolling Process on Low Temperature Impact Toughness of S32101 Lean Duplex Stainless Steel
In order to study the effect of hot rolling process on the low temperature impact toughness of S32101 lean duplex stainless steel(LDX),hot rolling tests were carried out with different broadening coefficients of 1.0,1.1,1.4 and reduction rates of 75%and 90%.Based on calculation of thermodynamic phase diagram and microstructure evolution analysis at different temperatures, reasonable solution heat treatment was selected, and the effect of hot rolling process on the low temperature impact toughness of S32101 duplex stainless steel after solution treatment was studied. The results show that the low temperature impact toughness of S32101 duplex stainless steel increases with the increase of broadening coefficient and reduction rate, decreases with the increase of solution treatment temperature and holding time. With the increase of broadening coefficient and reduction rate, the strip spacing between austenite and ferrite structure decreases, they are distributed along the rolling direction.Reducing the spacing between the two phases and increasing the proportion of austenite phase can improve the low temperature impact toughness.
