高温下熔融Al在Al2O3表面的润湿性高精度测量

高温下熔体的润湿性对焊接工艺的改进具有重要研究意义,良好的润湿性能够提高焊缝质量,减少焊接缺陷,从而降低制造成本,提高生产效率.本研究搭建了一个低成本的由管式炉、相机、光源、真空泵和计算机构成的实验平台,利用座滴法和悬滴法开展了真空环境中不同温度条件下熔体Al在Al2O3 基板上的润湿性实验,获得了边缘轮廓清晰、对比度明显的高质量图像,并采用开发的润湿性参数测量程序,计算了接触角、表面张力、热膨胀系数、铺展速度等参数.结果表明,润湿性参数的测量具有较高精度,温度升高能够促进熔体Al在Al2O3 基板上的润湿,表现为接触角明显减小,铺展半径明显增大.
Accurate Measurements of Wettability of Molten Aluminum on Alumina Surface at High Temperature
The wettability of molten materials at high temperatures plays a crucial role in the improvement of welding process.Good wettability not only improves weld quality and reduces welding defects but also contributes to lowering manufacturing costs and increasing production efficiency.A low-cost experimental platform composed of tube furnace,camera,light source,vacuum pump and computer was built,and the wettability experiments of the molten Al on Al2O3 substrates under various temperature conditions in a vacuum environment were conducted employing the sessile drop and pendant drop methods,and high quality images with clear edge contours and noticeable contrast were obtained.Using the developed wettability parameter measurement procedure,the contact angle,surface tension,coefficient of thermal expansion and spreading velocity were calculated.The results show that the measurement of wettability parameters has high accuracy,and the temperature increase can promote the wetting of molten Al on Al2O3 substrate,which is manifested by obvious decrease of contact angle and obvious increase of spreading radius.
