Recycling and Refurbishment Mode Considering Consumers'Willingness to Pay and Technology Authorization
The impact of technology licensing on overall supply chain profits when consumers'willingness to pay for new and refurbished products is heterogeneous is studied. The modes of manufacturer recycling and refurbishment, retailer recycling and refurbishment, and third-party recycling and refurbishment before and after technology authorization are constructed, and the three models before and after technology authorization are analyzed and compared using game theory. The results show that the increase in consumers'willingness to pay for refurbished products will aggravate the cannibalization of new products by refurbished products, while technology licensing can alleviate the cannibalization;technology licensing can in-crease the total profit of the supply chain, but for manufacturers, licensing fees are not the higher, the better;the best recy-cling and refurbishment mode in the case of technology authorization is third-party recycling and refurbishment.
