Measurement of the High-quality Development Level of China's Manufacturing Industry and Spatio-temporal Characteristics
This paper uses the entropy weight method to measure the high-quality development level of the manufacturing industry in 30 provinces of China from 2015 to 2020 and uses the Thiel index and Moran index to analyze regional differ-ences and spatial agglomeration characteristics.The results show that:(1)Overall,the high-quality development level of the manufacturing industry is showing a long-term positive trend,but it is still not high.From a multidimensional perspec-tive,the growth scale and product quality are relatively low and show a fluctuating downward trend.The optimization and up-grading of industrial structure,integration of industrialization and industrialization,innovation-driven,and open development are constantly rising,while green development shows a fluctuating upward trend.From a regional analysis perspective,the high-quality development level of the manufacturing industry in the eastern region is steadily upward,with the central re-gion showing a continuous upward trend,the western region showing an upward trend,but the growth rate is relatively slow,and the northeast region is experiencing stagnation.(2)The gap between regions constantly expands,directly due to the in-creasing regional differences and indirectly due to different regional division methods and industrial transfer.(3)The high-quality development level of the manufacturing industry in various provinces and cities shows a significant spatial positive correlation,but its spatial agglomeration is constantly weakening.In the future,the central and western regions need to fully tap into the advantages of resource endowment to undertake industrial transfer,and the eastern regions need to further strengthen external synergy to guide the orderly development of inland provinces.This article aims to further deepen the theo-retical connotation of high-quality development in the manufacturing industry,systematically demonstrate the current devel-opment situation under high-quality guidance,and provide a basis and reference for improving China's manufacturing in-dustry development policies.
