Digital Economy Empowers Enterprises'Innovation Information Disclosure
This paper empirically examines the impact of the development of the digital economy on corporate innovation in-formation disclosure using the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2020.First,it finds that the digital economy has improved the level of corporate innovation information disclosure,which confirms the derivation of"digital technology empowerment—digital data promotion—corporate governance reconstruction".Second,it demonstrates the syner-gistic effect of formal and informal institutions on corporate innovation disclosure.Specifically,external media attention strengthens the positive relationship between digital economy development and corporate innovation disclosure,while person-al relationships of executives weaken the above positive relationship.Moreover,the incentive effect of digital economy devel-opment on corporate innovation disclosure is attributed to the strengthening of intellectual property protection and the reduc-tion of innovation information disclosure costs.
