The Theoretical Mechanism and Empirical Test of Chinese Path to Modernization Promoting Common Prosperity
Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2012 to 2021,the article empirically tests the impact and mechanism of Chinese path to modernization on common prosperity.The research shows that Chinese path to modernization has a significant role in promoting common prosperity,and this conclusion is still valid after robustness test.The intermedi-ary analysis shows that alleviating factor misallocation and driving the industrial structure upgrading have intermediary effects in the process of Chinese path to modernization promoting common prosperity.Heterogeneity analysis shows that in the east-ern region and high agricultural labor productivity regions,Chinese path to modernization has a more significant positive im-pact on common prosperity.The spatial analysis shows that Chinese path to modernization can not only endow the region common prosperity,but also has a positive spatial spillover effect on neighboring regions.
