This paper explains theoretically the direct effects of digital economy development on urban economic resilience and the indirect effects of entrepreneurial spirit between the two.Data from 283 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2020 were collected and tested using system GMM and mediation effect models.The results show that the development of the dig-ital economy has significantly improved urban economic resilience,and can enhance the r urban economic resilience by en-hancing the entrepreneurial spirit,innovation spirit,and contract spirit of entrepreneurs.The development of the digital e-conomy has a greater promoting effect on the urban economic resilience of the central and western regions and peripheral cit-ies than the eastern and central cities.
