Based on the TOE framework,this paper uses the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method to analyze data from 168 samples to explore the effects of technological,organizational,and environmental conditions on the business model innovation of incumbent firms and to analyze typical cases to explore the driving paths of business model innovation in the digital context.The results show that(1)A single antecedent condition is hardly a necessary condition for incumbent enterprises to achieve business model innovation.(2)there are four types of business model innovation driving paths,a-mong which market environment-driven and dynamic capability-driven can lead to progressive business model innovation,while dynamic capability-driven with technology support and digital technology-driven with redundant resources can lead to disruptive business model innovation.(3)the"multiple concurrent"technological,organizational,and environmental conditions drive business model innovation in different ways.
