Research on Usability of In-vehicle Interactive Interface Based on Eye Tracking
Objective In order to explore the location and unfolding mode of function cards which are more suit-able for drivers to view and operate in the vehicle-mounted interactive interface. Methods A 2(function card posi-tion:card on the left/card on the bottom)×2(expansion mode:window expansion/full screen expansion)within-subject experiment was designed, and eye tracking data were collected from 16 subjects by eye tracker. The dependent variables were task completion time, average gaze duration, click times, gaze times and total gaze time. Results The interaction of function card position, function card position and expansion mode has no significant influence on the driver's visual search and operation behavior, but the expansion mode has a significant influence on the completion time of the driver's visual search and operation behavior, and the full-screen expansion mode can significantly reduce the task completion time. Conclusion suggest that when the function cards in the vehicle-mounted interactive inter-face are unfolded in full screen,it is beneficial to significantly improve the efficiency of users'search and operation. To greatest extent,it reduces cognitive load to avoid distraction. The research results can provide reference for the design of vehicle interactive interface.
