Simulation and Verification of Control Strategy for Load Shedding in Gas Turbine
For a split-shaft gas turbine under condition of sudden load shedding,to improve the speed regulation performance, reduce the transient speed regulation rate and decrease the stabilization time,a control mode that could switch between the open-loop fuel-air ratio and closed-loop rotor acceleration control based on parameters, such as load signals, was proposed.A transition state simulation model was established, and the implicit CMF method was adopted to simulate the aerodynamic parameters of a certain type of gas turbine under condition of 100%sudden load shedding.Afterwards, test was carried out on the same condition to verify the mode. The results of the aerodynamic parameters compared between the test under 100%sudden load shedding and simulation validated that this gas turbine had reached the requirements of the product verification contract. The research findings can provide reference for design and simulation of control logic for sudden load shedding in gas turbine.
