Research progress on landslide engineering reinforcement and ecological slope protection measures in Three Gorges Reservoir area
The Three Gorges Reservoir area has a wide span of mainstream and tributary rivers.Influenced by stratigraphic li-thology,bank slope structure, reservoir water fluctuations, and heavy rainfall, geological disasters dominated by landslides frequent-ly occur in the reservoir area.Combined with the distribution law of landslides in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, this study ana-lyzed the deformation response characteristics and instability mechanisms of landslides with different engineering geological types under the action of two main external factors, rainfall and reservoir water fluctuation. We summarized the supporting principles and design calculation methods of three main engineering reinforcement measures(anti-sliding pile support, retaining wall support, and anchor cable reinforcement)used in landslide disaster management in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.We also introduced the reinforcement mechanism of ecological slope protection technology and its research, experimentation, and widespread applica-tion in the Three Gorges reservoir area. The study suggestted that current landslide management in the Three Gorges Reservoir are-a primarily relies on engineering measures, with generally less consideration for the ecological effects of landslide prevention. Therefore, future research could focus more on the characteristics of rainfall-induced landslides in the Three Gorges reservoir ar-ea,and explored deeper the joint reinforcement mechanism and design evaluation methods of the ecological-structural composite slope protection system under the influence of external factors such as reservoir water fluctuations and heavy rainfall.
