Analysis on Sediment Transport Efficiency of Various Discharge Courses in Inner Mongolia Reach of the Yellow River
94 flow courses from 1958 to 2013, reflecting inter-annual and annual seasonal variation in Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River were selected by this paper to analyze sediment transport efficiency of various flow courses in different periods with sediment delivery and deposition rate as the main index. The results show that the changes of flow and sediment concentration have significant effects on sediment transport efficiency when average flow rate is less than 1,000 m3/s and sediment delivery rate is proportional to flow and inversely proportional to sediment concentration. The changing of sediment composition in various discharge courses will lead to different sediment transport allocation proportions.
