Analysis of Crystal Structure and Internal Bubbles of the Yellow River Ice
The physical properties of the Yellow River ice are unique, which play an important role in the evolution of the ice.In order to deeply understand the microstructural characteristics of frazil ice,the frazil particles in the Toudaoguai section of the Yellow River were col-lected by a sampler, and the images of frazil ice were taken under the Fedorov stage to analyze the microstructural characteristics of crystals and bubbles. The results show that the average equivalent diameter of each plane in the vertical direction ranges from 1.48~5.85 mm,and in-creases with the increase of depth. In the same horizontal direction, the grain size is different obviously, and the proportion of micro-grain is larger. The frazil ice is mainly composed of 0.1~7.0 mm grains, and the proportion of micro-grain with diameter of 0.1~1.0 mm is 47.54%.The average equivalent diameter of the bubbles is in the range of 0.3~0.7 mm,and increases with the depth. The content of the bubbles is in the range of 1.90%~6.76%,and decreases with the increase of depth.
