Analysis of Water Resources Green Efficiency and Potential of the Water-Saving and Emission-Abating in Cities of the Northwest Arid Region
The undesirable output SBM model was used to measure the green efficiency of water resources in 34 cities of the northwest arid region from 2011 to 2020,using natural breakpoint method to explore the spatial and temporal evolution of the green efficiency of water re-sources in northwest arid region,on this basis, and the potential of water saving and emission reduction of each city was analyzed. The results show that from 2011 to 2020,88.2%of the 34 cities in the northwest arid region do not achieve the green efficiency of water resources at the forefront of production. The green efficiency of water resources generally presents the decreasing spatial distribution trend in the southern, central and northern regions. The potential of water saving and emission reduction between cities is significantly different, and the develop-ment pattern of"central>southern>north"is present between regions.Relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the per-spectives of water saving and emission reduction technology, industrial structure and water resources management for promoting the improve-ment of green efficiency of water resources in the northwest arid region.
