Research on Ground Bench Starting Test of a Certain Type of Turbofan Engine
In order to analyze the impact of atmospheric environment on the engine starting process, the three segment integration method was used to calculate the engine starting characteristics.Ground starting experiments were conducted on a certain type of turbofan engine under different atmospheric temperature conditions. The results show that the starting characteristics of the engine under cold condition are consistent with the theoretical calculation results, and the starting time and disconnection time of the engine under standard atmosphere temperature are the shortest.Under hot conditions, the atmospheric temperature at the fastest engine start is about 2 K lower than the theoretical calculation temperature, and the start and release time are both faster than the cold time(about 2.9 s faster). The occurrence time of the fan and compressor speed in hot start is about 0.5 s earlier than that in cold start, and the establishment of hot supply pressure and exhaust temperature is earlier. The analysis shows that the reason why the hot test result is lower than the theoretical calculation temperature is related to the changes of fuel viscosity, oil viscosity, density of air, etc.caused by the change of atmospheric temperature, and the change of enthalpy value of the hot engine. The research results of this experiment can provide reference for ground experiments.
