Abstract
Cotton mealybug(Phenacoccus solenopsis)is more and more harmful to sweet potato in Guangdong,Guangxi,Hainan and Zhejiang provinces.In order to accurately identify and effectively prevent cotton mealybug,the characteristics,distribution and damage,damage symptoms,occurrence law of cotton mealybug were described in detail and comprehensive control methods of plant quarantine,agricultural control,physical control,biological control and chemical control were summarized according to the practice.
