Construction and Development of Facility Agriculture of Non-arable Land in China from the Perspective of an All-encompassing Approach to Food
China has a large population but limited land,with over 85%of its land resources being non-arable.Developing and utilizing non-arable land resources and developing facility agriculture in non-arable land have great strategic significance for ensuring national food security and alleviating contradictions of agricultural land.The development status of facility agriculture in non-arable land in China was analyzed from the aspects of supporting policies,land resources,industrial status,facility types,facilities and equipments,efficient technologies,suitable varieties and development modes.Based on the advanced experience of facility agriculture in non-arable land in Israel,Egypt,Span,Japan and Gulf States,the problems were pointed out including varieties,facilities,talents,technologies,costs and profits of facility agriculture in non-arable land in China,and in view of the problems,corresponding development suggestions were put forward,and the development prospect of facility agriculture in non-arable land was prospected finally,which provided reference for effectively promoting the healthy and sustainable development of facility agriculture in non-arable land.
