Vegetable Price Situation Analysis and Market Forecast in 2024 of Hebei Province
In order to explore the characteristics of vegetable price fluctuations in Hebei province,promote the'vegetable basket'in Hebei province to ensure stable supply and price,and improve the income level of vegetable farmers,15 main vegetable varieties were selected to analyze the overall monthly and annual average prices of vegetables in recent 3 years,which were compared with those of the whole country and Shandong province.At the same time,from the perspective of price comparison of open-field vegetables and facility vegetables,the price fluctuations of 3 kinds of open-field vegetables of ginger,Chinese cabbage and scallion,and 2 kinds of facility vegetables of cucumber and tomato whose prices fluctuated widely in Hebei province were analyzed.The results showed that the average monthly wholesale price of vegetables in Hebei province basically presented a cyclical fluctuation trend of'double peaks and double valleys'in 2023,with the highest price in February and the lowest price rarely in November.Compared with the whole country and Shandong province,the price of vegetables in Hebei province was lower in every month,while the average price from April to June was uncharacteristically higher than that in Shandong province.The average annual wholesale price of vegetables in Hebei province was 4.62 yuan/kg,upping 23.93%year-on-year and 11.33%higher than the average level in the past three years.Among open-field vegetables,the price of ginger increased by 193.99%year-on-year,the price of scallion decreased by 41.22%year-on-year,and the price of Chinese cabbage decreased by 27.95%year-on-year.Among facility vegetables,the price of cucumber increased by 10.49%year-on-year,and the price of tomato decreased by 6.21%year-on-year.Seasonal factors,poor supply chain connection and extreme weather were the main factors affecting the fluctuation of vegetable prices in Hebei province in 2023.Looking forward to the future market,the average annual wholesale price level of vegetables in 2024 will be lower than that in 2023,and the price fluctuation still will present a seasonal fluctuation law,but the fluctuation range will be bigger than that in 2023.In the second half of 2024,the price will gradually recover compared with the first half of 2024 with the influence of the season and the weather such as cooling and snow.
