Study on the Residue Dynamics of Prochloraz and Its Metabolites in Ginger During Storage by Using Gas Chromatography Method
In order to ensure the accuracy of using gas chromatography method to detect the residue dynamics of prochloraz and its metabolites in ginger, and determine the safe dosage of prochloraz for storage and preservation of ginger,on the basis of verifying the accuracy and sensitivity of gas chromatography(ECD electron capture detector)for determining the residual levels of prochloraz in ginger samples after derivatization, the ginger treated with 450 mg/kg prochloraz was stored at low temperature of(12±1)℃ and the residue dynamics of prochloraz and its metabolite of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol were detected by using the method of gas chromatography. The results showed that the derivatization rate of prochloraz reached 100%at a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/kg.The method of using gas chromatography to detect the residue dynamics of prochloraz and its metabolites in ginger was simple and effective, with good accuracy, high precision, high sensitivity, and met the basic requirements of pesticide residue analysis. The residue digestion of prochloraz in ginger during storage was slow, and the residue amount in ginger peel decreased with the extension of storage period, which dropped to 14.31 mg/kg on the 42nd day of storage. While the residue amount in ginger flesh increased first and then decreased, whose maximum content was 0.31 mg/kg on the 35th day of storage, and decreased to 0.25 mg/kg on 42nd day.The content of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol in different tissues of ginger showed an overall upward trend, whose contents in ginger peel and ginger flesh were 0.042 mg/kg and 0.035 mg/kg on the 28th day of storage, respectively, with the residue amounts of less than 0.1 mg/kg,which met food safety standards. Therefore,a concentration of 450 mg/kg of prochloraz could be used as a preservative for ginger storage.
