Changping district,as an advantageous main production area of strawberry industry in Beijing,attaches the great importance to the development of strawberry seed industry and synchronously promotes the development of strawberry seed industry and the strawberry industry.An overview of the status of strawberry seed industry in Changping district has been provided,including the size of the seedling market,introduction and breeding of strawberry varieties,sources of seedlings,technological innovations of seed industry and relevant policies support.In response to the problems such as low utilization rate of virus-free seedlings,the need to increase the proportion of local seedling sources,the lack of unified standards for the characteristics of main varieties and the insufficient reserve of professional and technical talents in development,countermeasures and suggestions have been proposed to improve the utilization rate of virus-free seedlings,strengthen innovation in breeding and raising seedling technology,improve the three-level raising seedling technology system and increase the introduction and reserve of technical talents,aiming at providing ideas for promoting the development of strawberry seed industry in northern regions.
