Effect of Hydrogen-rich Water on Improving Quality and Stress Resistance of Strawberry Cultivated with Substrate by Elevated Device in Greenhouse
In order to study the effect of hydrogen-rich water(HRW)on the growth of strawberry, the strawberry variety of 'Falandi'was taken as material, and the roots were irrigated with HRW and tap water, respectively, the effects of HRW irrigation on fruit quality and stress resistance of strawberry cultivated with substrate by elevated device in greenhouse were analyzed through measuring the fruit quality indexes of soluble solid content, soluble sugar content, titratable acid content, total flavone content, total phenol content, soluble protein content, nitrate content and anthocyanin content, and measuring the stress resistance indexes of malondialdehyde(MDA)content, superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity, catalase(CAT)activity, peroxidase(POD)activity, ascorbate peroxidase(APX)activity and proline(Pro)content in roots and leaves. The results showed that the soluble sugar content, titratable acid content, total flavone content and total phenol content of strawberry fruits,CAT activity and APX activity of strawberry roots irrigated with HRW were significantly increased by 6.5%,8.4%,7.9%,4.0%,7.9%,7.4%than those of the control, respectively. The SOD activity of leaves was extremely significantly increased by 23.4%than that of the control, while the Pro content of leaves,MDA content,SOD activity and POD activity of roots were extremely significantly reduced by 8.3%,8.4%,11.9%and 18.3%,compared with those of the control, respectively. It shows that HRW irrigation can improve the antioxidant capacity of strawberry, and participate in the regulation of root stress resistance of strawberry by regulating the activity of antioxidant enzymes,so as to improve the taste and quality of strawberries, and achieve the purpose of improving quality and benefits.
