Analysis of Hydrochemical Characteristics and Genesis of Groundwater in Hongyuan-Ruoergai in the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River
The Hongyuan-Roergai area is located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River basin. It is very important to understand the hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater in this area for the high-quality development of the Yellow River basin. In this paper,Gibbs graphic method, ion ratio relationship and multivariate statistical analysis method were used. It's found that the groundwater in the Hongyuan-Roergai area is weakly acidic, mainly HCO3-Ca type groundwater. The total hardness, total dissolved solids and nitrate are generally high in the north and low in the south. The peak ammonium ion content is found near Ruoergai County and Hongyuan County, which is greatly affected by human activities. The chemical composition of shallow groundwater in this area is mainly controlled by water-rock interaction. The weathering and dissolution of silicate were dominant in this area, and calcium and magnesium are mainly derived from the weathering and dissolution of calcite. The study area is dominated by cation exchange, yet with low exchange intensity. The analysis of the groundwater environment and the genesis of groundwater in the Hongyuan-Roergai area provides scientific basis for the protection and treatment of the water environment in this area.
