Research on Adsorption of Methylene Blue in Water by Magnetci Biochar Derived From Camphor Leaves
Magnetic biochar was derived from camphor leaves,a garden plant, and used as an adsorbent to remove methylene blue in water. The equilibrium adsorption method was applied, and the impacts of adsorbent dosage, initial concentration of solution, adsorption time,pH and coexisting ions on adsorption were investigated. The results showed that the adsorption capacity decreased gradually with the increase of carbon dosage, and the removal rate increased gradually and reached equilibrium, with the maximum removal rate of 99.69%.The adsorption of methylene blue by magnetic biochar derived from camphor leaves accorded with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm and quasi-secondary kinetic model. The adsorption capacity decreased with the decrease of pH value, and the coexisting ion HP O42-inhibited the adsorption to some extent.Magnetic biochar derived from camphor leaves can be used as a new highly effective adsorbent that is easy to recover for the treatment of printing and dyeingwastewater, which provides a feasible technical means for the utilization of garden waste.
