Research on Application of Tower Spray Combined with Activated Coke in Treatment of Waste Gas from Aerobic Fermentation of Sludge
The waste gas produced by aerobic fermentation of sludge is featured by complex composition and high odor concentration, which is difficult to be removed by the traditional biological deodorization method.Deodorization has become a bottleneck restricting the aerobic fermentation of sludge.A sludge disposal plant in Zhengzhou uses a combination of new technologies such as chemical absorption, volcanic rock dehumidification, and activated coke adsorption to solve this bottleneck problem. The results show that the ammonia concentration in the space and the stack can be reduced to a level below 15mg/m3 and 20mg/m3 with the chemical absorption method. The removal rate is as high as 85%,the stack gas temperature can be reduced from 62℃ to 40 ℃ with the spray method, and the odor concentration has also been reduced greatly at this stage. With the volcanic rock dehumidification system, the relative humidity of the gas can be reduced from 80%to about 50%,which can extend the service life of activated coke. The activated coke adsorption is mainly adopted to remove the non-polar gas in the tail gas of the aerobic fermentation gas exhaust, and control the odor concentration below 1000 mg/m3,so that the gas can be discharged stably.
