Meteorological Characteristics and Weather Patterns of Combined Pollution Caused by PM2.5 and O3 in Southern Hebei,China
To understand the characteristics of combined air pollution and its meteorological conditions in southern Hebei,we statistically analyzed the characteristics of meteorological elements when a combined pollution event occurs in southern Hebei by using environmental monitoring, surface meteorological observations and NCEP reanalysis data from 2016 to 2022,and performed objective weather typing of the surface barometric pressure field. The results showed:(1)Combined pollution accounted for 4.0%of the total pollution days from 2016 to 2022 in southern Hebei;Shijiazhuang had more combined pollution which was dominated by O3 pollution;and serious combined pollution appeared in April,July and September.(2)During the combined pollution period, temperature was strongly and positively correlated with O3 and strongly negatively correlated with PM2.5,sea level pressure and relative humidity were negatively correlated with O3 and weakly positively correlated with PM2.5,water vapor pressure, sunlight, and visibility were positively correlated with O3 and weakly negatively correlated with PM2.5,and wind speed was weakly negatively correlated with both O3 and PM2.5.(3)The weather type of combined pollution in the southern Hebei mainly included C-type,W-type,A-type,and U-type,of which C-type was the most and was dominated by O3 combined pollution,W-type and A-type were dominated by PM2.5 combined pollution, and U-type was dominated by low concentration O3 and PM2.5.The study showed that meteorological conditions had a significant impact on combined pollution, and focusing on the relationship between the two will have a guide significance for air pollution management in the future.
