Study on Degradation of Bisphenol A by Catalyst Activation Persulfate
With the industrial development, human production and life have led to serious water pollution.BPA is a pollutant requiring great disposal efforts. However, the advanced oxidation technology is of good treatment application value. In this paper,Fe nanoparticle catalyst(Fe-NC-G-700)coated with N-doped graphite carbon was prepared to activate persulfate(PDS)to degradeBPA.Firstly, the calcination temperature of catalysts was optimized. Then, catalyst dosage,PDS dosage, reaction tem-perature and initial pH value were optimized through the single factor control method. The optimum reaction conditions were as follows:Fe-NC-G-700=200 mg/L,PDS=0.378 mM,reaction temperature=30℃,initial pH=6.5.The effect of co-existing inorganic anions(HCO3-,Cl-,H2PO4-and NO3-)on the degradation of BPA was also investigated. The results indicatedthat the Fe-NC-G-700/PDS system had excellent resistance to inorganic anions. In addition, control experiments showed that the prepared Fe-NC-G-700 had good PDS activation ability.Meanwhile, the quenching experiment results displayed that the main reactive oxygen species(ROS)in the Fe-NC-G-700/PDS system were superoxide radicals and singlet oxygen.
