基于不同数据库污水处理LCA碳核算对比及启示

近年来,污水处理厂的碳排放核算日益受到重视。基于LCA理论的核算软件,如SimaPro、GaBi和eBal-ance4。0,具备高度灵活性和可视化功能,能定制评价指标并准确分析数据。然而,这些软件在核算城市污水处理厂碳足迹时,因排放因子和数据库差异,导致结果不同。德国的GaBi核算软件的结果比荷兰的Simapro核算软件高出0。18kgCO2e/t,比中国的eFootprint核算软件高出1。65kgCO2e/t,主要因数据库参考标准和物料、能源排放因子不同。因此,选择适合污水处理工艺的软件和慎重选择排放因子至关重要。随着碳边境调节机制(carbon border adjustment mechanism,简称CBAM)于2023年10月启动,如何为6大行业选择碳排放报告参考数据库成为新挑战。同时,加强全生命周期数据库标准化,为行业提供有力参考。
Comparison and Insights of LCA Carbon Accounting for Sewage Treatment Based on Different Databases
In recent years,the carbon emission accounting of sewage treatment plants has received increasing attention.Accounting software based on LCA theory,such as SimaPro,GaBi and eBalance4.0,has a high degree of flexibility and visualization to customize assessment indicators and accurately analyze data.However,when the software is used for calculating the carbon footprint of municipal sewage treatment plants,the results are different due to differences in emission factors and databases.The result of the German accounting software GaBi is 0.18 kg CO2e/t higher than the Dutch accounting software Simapro and 1.65 kg CO2e/t higher than the Chinese accounting software eFootprint,mainly due to different database reference standards and material and energy emission factors.Therefore,it is important to choose the software suitable for the sewage treatment process and carefully choose the discharge factor.With the launch of the carbon border adjustment mechanism(CBAM)in October 2023,the selection of a carbon reporting reference database for the six industries is a new challenge.What's more,the standardization of the whole life cycle database is strengthened to provide a strong reference for the industry.
