Research on seismic performance of a new type of replaceable shear-plate joint of special-shaped concrete-filled steel tube structures
A new type of shear-plate joint of special-shaped concrete-filled steel tube(CFST)structures was proposed. Two sets of replaceable shear-plate beam-column joints were fabricated for pseudo-static tests and finite element analysis. The mechanical properties of the two joints, such as hysteretic curves, ductility properties and energy dissipation capacity, were obtained. The results show that the failure modes of the different special-shaped CFST shear-plate joints with different openings are different.Shear-plate joints with waist holes has better ductility and energy dissipation capacity.Base on the test and numerical simulation, the influence of friction coefficient between plates on the seismic performance of joints was studied. When the friction coefficient is raised to 0.30,the seismic performance of joints is better.
