Impact analysis of excavation of an expansive soil deep foundation pit on uneven settlement of adjacent factory building foundation
With the rapid growth of urban underground space development activities,engineering accidents such as cracking of surrounding buildings,surface subsidence,and underground pipeline rupture caused by deep foundation pit excavation are not uncommon.The issue of uneven settlement of adjacent factory building caused by excavation of a deep foundation pit in the eastern suburbs of Chengdu was taken as the background.The expansive soil deep foundation pit was modeled and calculated by using finite element software,and compared with measured deformation data to verify the reliability of the calculation model.The calculation results show that the lateral deformation of support structures,changes in water content have significant correlation with factory building settlement.After using micro piles to reinforce the foundation of the factory building,the settlement of the building reaches a stable state,which ensures the safety and stability of the building structure in the later use stage.
