Tunpu settlement,as a special settlement type in Chinese history,was widely distributed in Southwest China.At present,there is no summary of the research on Tunpu settlements in Southwest China.CiteSpace was used to visually analyze the research literature up to the end of 2023.The results show that the research on Tunpu settlements in Southwest China shows three stages in terms of the number of papers,the hotspots and emergence of keywords,and the research time zone.Generally speaking,exploring the protection and development method of"traditional settlements"and"Tunpu culture"is an important support point for the study of Tunpu settlements in Southwest China.At present,the research hotspot is multi-disciplinary cross-focus on the analysis and utilization of Tunpu settlement space,taking rural revitalization as the implementation path,and emerging Tunpu tourism and other related industries.In the future,the development direction of the research on Tunpu settlements in Southwest China includes:Building a characteristic space with more cultural and landscape value with Tunpu settlement space as the carrier;Making full use of Tunpu tourism resources to realize rural revitalization and development and build beautiful countryside;Taking the ancient Yunnan-Guizhou road as the clue of Tunpu heritage corridor,expanding regional research,linear heritage research and regional development research outside central Guizhou.
