Effect of preservation bags with different thicknesses on the fresh-keeping effect of "Guangfeng" green walnut
In this paper, the effects of different thickness preservation bags on the fresh-keeping effect of green walnut were studied,in order to prolong its storage period by simple and environmentally friendly fresh-keeping methods."Guangfeng"green walnuts from Sichuan Province was selected as the test material, and the walnuts were packaged with three different thicknesses of preservation bags(25 μm,45 μm,and 70 μm)and stored at(4±1)℃,with on fresh-keeping bags as control group. The browning index, decay rate, color difference, respiration intensity, weight loss rate, ethylene production rate, and MDA content were measured every 7 days during storage. The results showed that all three preservation bags with different thicknesses were effective in inhibiting respiration intensity and ethylene production rate, delaying the peak of respiration and ethylene levels, and slowing down water loss, epidermal browning, and decay.Additionally, the preservation bags were able to maintain the green color of the walnuts and inhibit the increase of MDA content.Overall, the 45 μm thickness bag had the best fresh-keeping effect,on the 57th day of storage, the color difference a* value was 2.65,the weight loss rate was 5.03%,and the decay rate was 28.57%.
