Practical Applications and Research Progress on the Warm-up Based on Postactivation Potentiation
To promote the practical applications of the warm-up based on postactivation potentiation(PAPW),this study systematically reviewed the connotation and effect of PAPW,the characteristics of PAPW,and the application of PAPW in different sports and populations.The results show that:combined with individual characteristics and sports features,the use of isometric or isotonic stimulation to go on>85%1RM or 30%~40%1RM,2~3 sets×5~10 repetitions,and rest 4~8min after stimulation is the common PAPW plan;the effectiveness of PAPW is unclear,but PAPW has applied in high-level athletes and in sports or motion techniques that require explosive force and speed strength.
