Inside and Outside of Text:Multiple Voices of Agents in the English Translation and Dissemination of The Wedding Party
In the process of disseminating literary works internationally, various translation agents leave their voices within and outside the text, either overtly or covertly. In the target text, the translator dissolves the author's voice and presents both an invisible and visible textual voice.Outside the target text, the translator, editor, cover designer and illustrator make their voices visible in the peritexts, shaping a work that embodies both cosmopolitanism and nationality.Critics and the publisher speak out through the epitexts, highlighting the novel's thematic significance of humanity and destiny.Translation agents have their voices in different ways, jointly establishing and maintaining a translation pact which facilitates the dissemination of the translated work.
