A Revisit to the Application of Harvard Case Method in Business English Teaching
"Case method"is a well-lauded teaching method developed and disseminated by Harvard Business School.In the setting of business English,many practitioners claim to have been employing case method.However,the studies on the principles and particulars of exposing EFL students to business case discussion are quite scant and scattered,leaving much room for improvement of course delivery.This research,based on a comprehensive review of key literature on Harvard case method in the past century,aims to explore how business English teaching can critically incorporate elements of this method.In practice,it is recommended to compile tailored English cases based on student needs and adopt flexible techniques,such as using smaller cases and multiple tasks.
