Research on New Media Promoting Rule of Law in Rural Governance under the Perspective of Structural Functionalism
The improvement of the rural governance system plays an important role in the process of modernising the national governance system. With the rapid popularisation of the Internet, the role of new media in rural governance has gradually come to the fore. However, the integration of new media into rural governance is plagued by the lack of basic rules, the emphasis on administrative ori-entation in the process, the insufficient coordination mechanism, and the disorder in cyberspace.Structural functionalism is deeply embedded in the rule of law in rural governance, and it also puts forward a more suitable research perspective for exploring the promotion of the rule of law in rural governance by new media.Focusing on the normative structure, solidifying the concept of rule of law, establishing a collaborative participation mechanism, and strengthening the regulatory system can optimise the functions of adaptation, targeting, integration and modelling of new media into the rule of law in rural governance.
