Application Effect of Three-Layer Suture and AD Suture in Patients with SandersⅢType Calcaneal Fracture
Objective:To investigate the application effects of three-layer tight closure and Allgrower-Donati(AD)closure in patients with Sanders Ⅲ calcaneal fractures.Methods:60 patients with Sanders Ⅲ calcaneal fractures treated at Shiyan People's Hospital,Baoan District,Shenzhen, from June 2019 to June 2022,were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group underwent postoperative three-layer tight closure, while the control group underwent Allgrower-Donati(AD)closure.The intraoperative and postoperative indicators, incision complication rates, and postoperative recovery were compared between the two groups. Results:There were no significant differences in the operation time and drainage time between the two groups(P>0.05).The wound closure time in the observation group was longer than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 days and 1 week after surgery, the pain Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores of both groups were lower than those at 1 day after surgery, and the skin temperature around the incision was higher than that at 1 day after surgery, and the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the skin temperature around the incision was higher than that in the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of incision-related complications in the observation group was 3.33%,compared with 13.33%in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the level of incisional inflammation and fracture healing time around the incision between the two groups(P>0.05).The wound healing time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is no significant difference in the incidence of incision-related complications between the three-layer tight closure and AD closure methods.Three-layer tight suturing technique can alleviate the degree of pain and shorten the incision healing time for patients. However, the three-layer tight suturing technique typically has a longer surgical and suturing duration.
