Application of Health Belief Model in Health Education of Patients with Total Hip Arthroplasty
Objective:To explore the effect of health belief model in health education of patients with total hip arthroplasty.Methods:60 patients with total hip arthroplasty admitted to our hospital from May 2020 to April 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine health education, and the observation group was given health belief model education. The level of knowledge and behavior, compliance with rehabilitation exercise Self-Care Ability scale(ESCA),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)of the two groups were compared after 1 month of intervention. Results:After 1 month of intervention, the belief, knowledge and behavior levels of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the compliance of rehabilitation training in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the scores of health knowledge level,self-responsibility,self-concept and self-care skills in the ESCA scale of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);the scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were(38.22±3.53)points and(42.02±4.05)points,respectively,which were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Health education under the health belief model can effectively improve the knowledge and practice level of patients with total hip replacement, improve the compliance of rehabilitation exercise, enhance the self-nursing ability of patients, and reduce the adverse psychological state.
