Effect of Distal Radius Fracture Combined With Ulnar Styloid Fracture on Postoperative Wrist Function
Objective:To investigate the effects of distal radius fracture combined with ulna styloid fracture on postoperative wrist function, and analyze the effects of surgical methods and different postoperative rehabilitation programs on the recovery of wrist func-tion,so as to provide reference for clinical treatment, with a view to improving the quality of life of patients.Methods:Forty-six pa-tients with distal radius fracture admitted to our hospital from June 2018 to September 2021 were selected as the study objects and di-vided into 2 groups according to random number table method.Among them,23 patients without ulnar styloid fracture were set as con-trol group, and 23 patients with ulnar styloid fracture were set as experimental group. The reduction and healing of radius and wrist joint function were compared between the two groups. Results:There were no significant differences between the two groups in radial reduc-tion and healing,Gartland-Werley wrist score and arm-shoulder and hand dysfunction score(P>0.05);the excellent and good rate of the experimental group was 86.96%,higher than 73.91%of the control group, and the incidence of pain was 13.04%,lower than 39.13%of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with distal radius fracture combined with ulnar styloid fracture, open reduction and internal fixation will not adversely affect the long-term wrist function of patients with ulnar styloid fracture, but can significantly reduce the incidence of hemicarpus ulnar pain.
