The Impact of Specialized Nurse-Led Continuity Nursing on Patients with Multiple Lumbar Vertebral Fractures After Surgery
Objective:To investigate the impact of specialized nurse-led continuity nursing on patients with multiple lumbar vertebral fractures after surgery.Methods:84 patients with multiple lumbar vertebral fractures after surgery admitted to Tianjin fourth central hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects.Using a random number table method, patients were divided into a specialized group and a control group, with 42 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the specialized group received specialized nurse-led continuity nursing in addition to routine nursing.Comparison was made between the two groups in terms of pain Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores,Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)scores, treatment outcomes,Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90)scores,and overall complication rates. Results:After 4 weeks of nursing, both groups showed lower VAS scores compared to before nursing, and the specialized group had significantly lower VAS scores than the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of nursing, both groups had lower ODI scores compared to before nursing, and the specialized group had significantly lower ODI scores than the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of nursing, the specialized group had a higher rate of excellent treatment outcomes than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of nursing, the specialized group had lower SCL-90 scores in somatization, obsession, interpersonal sensitivity, hostility, phobia, and paranoia compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The overall complication rate during the nursing period in the specialized group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Providing specialized nurse-led continuity nursing to patients with multiple lumbar vertebral fractures after surgery can effectively alleviate pain, improve lumbar spine function, reduce the incidence of complications, enhance patients'quality of life, and overall improve prognosis.
