The Application of Quality Control Circle Activities in Reducing the Incidence of Nasal Feeding Aspiration in Icu Coma Patients
Objective:To explore the application of Quality Control Circle(QCC)activities in reducing the incidence of nasal feeding aspiration in ICU coma patients.Methods:301 comatose nasal feeding patients admitted to the ICU of Tianjin Hospital from June 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research subjects,Using May 2019 as the boundary for implementing quality control circle nursing activities in our hospital's ICU,135 patients admitted from June 2018 to May 2019 were used as the control group,and 166 patients admitted from June 2019 to May 2020 were used as the observation group.A QCC panel consisted of 11 nurses was built.The incidence of aspiration in ICU coma patients was compared and evaluated.Results:After the implementation of quality control circle activities,the incidence of aspiration of ICU patients decreased from 5.32%to 0.54%,with an improvement of 89.8%and a target achievement rate of 184%.Conclusion:Quality control circle activities can effectively improve the quality of nursing care in hospital inpatients,significantly reduce the risk of aspiration in ICU coma patients receiving nasal feeding,and are worth promoting.
