Observation on the Effect of Huoxuezhitong Capsule Combined with Functional Exercise on Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To explore and observe the effect of Huoxuezhitong capsule combined with functional exercise on knee osteoarthritis.Methods:73 patients with knee osteoarthritis diagnosed and treated in Wubao County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Luonan County Hospital from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects,and the 73 patients were divided into a TCM group(n=37)and a control group(n=36)according to the principle of random coin toss.The control group was given functional exercise treatment,and the traditional Chinese medicine group was given Huoxuezhitong capsule combined with functional exercise treatment.Both groups were treated and observed for 1 month to determine the therapeutic effect of the 2 groups.Results:The total effective rate of TCM group after 1 month was higher than that of control group,and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment,the knee Lysholm score of the 2 groups was significantly higher than that before treatment,and the knee Lysholm score of the Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment,the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 content of the 2 groups was higher than that before treatment,and the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 content of the Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions such as abdominal discomfort,dizziness,bedsore,venous thrombosis,nausea and vomiting between 2 groups during 1 month of treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Huoxuezhitong capsule combined with functional exercise for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is helpful to improve the overall therapeutic effect of patients,improve the function of patients'knee joint,and also increase the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 content of patients,without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions.
